GRADE 10 REPORT:

Celebrations

Congratulations to our Grade 10 students who were last week involved in our Inter-High Athletics Team. They certainly represented out school with pride (for the last time) and should be proud of their achievements. A special mention to Makala Bingley (10B) who broke the Grade 10 girls discus Inter-High record throwing 28.92m beating the old record of 28.33m. Awesome work Makala!

Last week Angie Collins (10D), Eliza Matthews (10D), Caitlin Jordan (10A) and Abbie Watt (10A) were all involved in Launceston College’s ‘Dance Fever- GRIT’. This is a huge commitment for the girls who have been rehearsing since the beginning of Term 2. It was a fantastic show! Great work girls we are proud of you all.

We also had a number of students participate in the school triathlon held in Devonport last Wednesday. Congratulations must go to Sam Talbot (10B), Cobey Evans (10C) and Kaiden Page (10A) who finished first overall for Grade 10 students in their teams’ race. Great work boys!

We would also like to congratulate one of our Grade 10 Team teachers Ms. Liz Wilson. Last week, Liz was recognised for her 25 years of service at the Department of Education. Congratulations Liz, we are so fortunate to have such an experienced and outstanding teacher on our grade team and in our school.

Grade Focus

For the last remaining weeks of this term and our Grade 10’s time at Kings Meadows, our grade focus is students following our ROCKS expectations. We have had high behavioural and attendance expectations of our Grade 10 students throughout this year and will continue to have these high expectations until students last day with us. It is important to us that our Grade 10 students finish off the year, their learning and their time at KMHS strongly in every way possible.
