The Grade 10s started their Measurement Unit recently and spent some time today working collaboratively to construct a Compound of Five Octahedra and a Seventh Stellation of the Icosahedron.

This activity helps to develop skills of visual imagery, including the ability to perceive and hold an appropriate mental image of an object or arrangement, and to predict the orientation or shape of an object during the construction process.  

Students will continue to explore the features of Polyhedra including vertices, surface area and volume.
