During Week 9 both Child Studies classes participated in practical experiences by visiting Youngtown and Glen Dhu Primary schools. Students have been learning about language and cognitive development in young children and were required to choose and read a picture book to a small group of children. They were given class time to practise reading aloud to refine their pace, pitch and projection. This has been an extremely valuable experience for Child Studies students as they explore potential career pathways. All students from Kings Meadows, Youngtown and Glen Dhu had lots of fun and we hope to visit again soon.
