In Term 3, Grade 8 English students have been studying the novel Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Part of their study of Coraline has been engaging in Literature Circles. Literature Circles are collaborative sessions in which students read, discuss, respond and reflect on a text. It has been wonderful to see the growing confidence and independence amongst students as they prepare for and conduct these sessions. The critical thinking skills and creativity emerging in Grade 8 is exciting! We look forward to showcasing some more of their amazing work with you next term.
