As we come to the end of another wonderful year of reading and learning, it’s becoming  the time where library books need to make their way back to the library.  Please keep an eye out around your house for any stray library books and check in with your child to make sure that they have plans to return them. 

If there are overdue books checked out in your child's name, a reminder letter will be sent home with details about the missing book/s, including the replacement cost (if the book is lost or damaged).  Please reach out if there are any issues or confusion – I am here to help and fully understand that every situation is unique.  My email is mandy.ritchie@decyp.tas.gov.au or I can be reached by phoning the school on 6343 100 Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 3.15pm. 

For those of you with avid readers at home, I have some great news! As you are no doubt aware, we had to cease our school eBook program mid-year due to rising costs. It seems that this was a common problem preventing many government schools from having similar services and so DECYP schools have partnered with Libraries Tasmania to introduce SORA (the student version of the Libraries Tasmania service, LIBBY) to Tassie schools!
